Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Plugin Developer who can:

  • Build custom plugins from scratch

  • Modify and extend existing plugins

  • Ensure clean architecture, security, and scalability

  • Work independently in a remote environment

You will collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and marketing teams to build functional, high-performance tools.


Key Responsibilities

🔧 Plugin Development
  • Develop custom WordPress plugins from scratch

  • Extend or modify existing plugins

  • Build admin dashboards and custom settings panels

  • Write secure, scalable, and optimized PHP code

🔗 API & Integrations
  • Integrate third-party APIs

  • Create REST API endpoints

  • Connect plugins with external systems (CRM, payment, automation tools)

🛡 Security & Performance
  • Follow WordPress coding standards

  • Prevent vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF)

  • Optimize database queries

  • Ensure plugin compatibility with latest WP versions

🚀 Testing & Maintenance
  • Debug and fix plugin-related issues

  • Maintain version control (Git)

  • Write documentation for custom solutions


Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in WordPress plugin development

  • Strong proficiency in PHP

  • Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters

  • Experience building custom admin panels

  • Experience with REST APIs

  • Strong knowledge of MySQL

  • Experience with Git

  • Ability to work independently (remote discipline required)


Good to Have (Bonus Skills)
  • WooCommerce plugin customization

  • Multisite experience

  • Performance optimization experience

  • Experience building SaaS-like systems on WordPress

  • JavaScript / React for Gutenberg blocks
